Eco Committee Gardening Club

19th Nov 2025
A massive thank you to Sean for running our ‘Eco-Schools Gardening club’ every Monday, not forgetting Chloe and Sheila for your support too!!
The children were busy the past few weeks improving our school grounds, by planting daffodils, crocuses, tulips (to name but a few) in a variety of colours. The bulbs were covered with leaves to act as natural compost and to protect them from frost. They placed cardboard beneath the soil to support composting, and planted the trees that were previously kept in plant boxes .They also created new planting areas using reclaimed wood, helping us make the space both more sustainable and more beautiful.
We can’t forget about the new bird boxes, we’ll be waiting to hear the sound of baby chicks next term!!
Our Eco-Committee and budding gardeners can’t wait til Springtime to get started again!!πŸͺπŸͺ΄πŸ‘©‍πŸŒΎπŸ‘¨‍🌾🌸🌼
