Today we were absolutely delighted to welcome children’s author Stuart Reid to our school for an exciting day of creative writing workshops. From the moment he arrived, our pupils were captivated by his enthusiasm, humour, and love of reading. 📚😃📚
The children thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Stuart’s journey as a writer and he had the children in fits of laughter and fully engaged in storytelling.
His motto, “Reading Rocks!”, quickly became a favourite throughout the day, sparking laughter and lots of creativity!
P4-7 got to take part in his ‘Creative Writing’ workshops, which were filled with joy, as Stuart shared his wonderfully silly and imaginative ideas, inspiring pupils to let their creativity run wild.
Stuart really inspired us all today , reminding us to always do what makes your heart happy and to follow your dreams. We can’t wait to read his books here at St.Matthew’s! 🌟📚🌟
